CMS Media Center

The mission of the Carrollton Middle School Library Media Center is to meet the informational needs of students, teachers, and community members. We are dedicated to providing users with information from any source in a timely and efficient manner. All users are welcome and encouraged to take advantage of our resources.

The Media Center is open from 7:45 until 3:45 each day. Students may come before or after school or during the school day with a pass from their teacher. Teachers may schedule classes by contacting media staff.

All student materials are checked out for a two-week period. Students must bring the item to the media center to be renewed if they are needed longer. Students may check out books, audio books and eBooks.

Carrollton Middle School is conducting a schoolwide program called the 20 Book Challenge this year. Students and teachers are invited to read books in 20 different categories and complete the corresponding short activity for each category. Those who participate and meet different levels will be rewarded!  Mrs. Lovelace will be giving out more details during the Media Center orientations.

May I choose any book I want?

Yes, you just have to convince the readers that it fits in the category.

May I count a book in two or more categories?

No, each book can only fill in one square.

What are the rewards?

There will be many surprises along the way.  (This means we haven’t decided yet!)

May I use books I read over the summer?

Yes, anything you read after June 1, 2022, can be included in the 20 Book Challenge for 2022-2023.
