Trent North, who was the first principal of Carrollton Middle School when the school opened in 2005, returned as principal in 2016 following several years in a central office role.
Prior to returning, North served as director of Community Affairs and Program Compliance. Before his leadership at CMS, he was principal of New Horizons alternative school for three years and assistant principal at Carrollton Elementary School for five years. Prior to entering administration, he taught seventh grade history at Carrollton Junior High School.
North earned his specialist’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University. He also holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, both from the University of West Georgia.
North and his wife, Toya, have two daughters, Alecia and Alexis, and reside in Carrollton.
